the President of the Republic, General Michel Aoun, received a delegation from the Syndicate of Chemists in Lebanon, headed by President Nicolas Gebran, who presented him with a copy of the draft file for the compulsory union for licensed chemists, which is currently in the Council of Ministers after it was referred by the Ministry of Industry and after the approval of the Judicial Consultation Authority and the Ministry of Justice, and making the required amendments to prevent interference. The powers are with other free unions, especially the Engineers and Pharmacists Syndicates. The delegation hoped that the President of the Republic would include this file on the agenda of the Council of Ministers at the appropriate time.

President Gibran said: “The chemistry that provided the world with medicine, food, clothing, housing, and energy, and drew the map of life, will remain the “chemistry of life” in Lebanon, and chemists will adopt the principles of clean chemistry in their fields of specialization. Chemicals will not be a “bogeyman.” Rather, the real “bogeyman” will appear, which is every outsider to the profession
